The following are some recommendations on how the OpenHIE Architecture Specification can be used.

Implementation Team	Use the Component Specification to help in determining business requirements needed to support software selection or development Use the Workflow Specification to find best practices for data exchange and standards that are recommended Contribute additions and changes based upon experience and needs
Software Development Teams	Use the Component Specification to help determining business requirements to consider in developing the software Use the Workflow Specification to find standards to support Contribute additions and changes based upon experience and needs
Ministries of Health	Reference the OpenHIE Architecture Specification and version number in architecture standards or requirements documents as appropriate Use the Architecture Specification, the Component Specification and / or the Workflow Specification in designing project or country architecture as appropriate.
